All volunteers must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Volunteers are also encouraged to wear long sleeves and hats to protect from poison ivy\, ticks\, and sunburn. Participants that do not have their own will get a seat in the Friends fleet in either a kayak or canoe. The paddle will take between 3-3.5 hours to complete (~1.5 miles per hour). Previous paddling experience required. If you are a beginner or have never paddled before\, please email Ashley Martin at ashley@friendsoftheriverfront.org and we can discuss! \n\nPlease wear sturdy close-toed shoes\, long pants\, and layered sleeves that can be removed. Wear clothing and shoes you do not mind getting wet/dirty. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather\, we will work through light rain.
