SUMMARY:Hazelwood to Carrie Furnace Public Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Riverfront invites you to join us at the Carrie Blast Furnaces National Historic Landmark for a wrap-up presentation on this phase of the trail project connecting Hazelwood to Duck Hollow and Carrie Furnace. This project kicked off in May 2023 and is in the final stages of 30% design documents and a written report which documents the entire project process.\n\n \n\nLearn more about the route\, proposed trail bridges\, trail extension plans and our next steps! We will also have information on the status and progress on the Turtle Creek Connector\, which begins at the Carrie Furnace site.\n\nThank you to Rivers of Steel for hosting us at the Carrie Furnace Power House. Due to the historic nature of the building\, the space does not have HVAC\, but is a large structure that typically stays cooler than the outdoors. We will have chairs\, fans\, snacks and water! Parking is available outside of the building.\n\n\n\nPlease reach out to our Project Manager\, Katie Kovalchik\, if you require accessibility accommodations. Email her at katie@friendsoftheriverfront.org.\n\nLearn more about the project here.\n\n
