Participants will learn how scientists\, educators\, and conservationists use aquatic insects\, fish\, and other freshwater organisms as indicators of water quality. Through hands-on exploration and guided discussion\, we’ll discover the connections between aquatic species\, habitat conditions\, and the overall health of our watershed. \n\nIf you want to participate in the in-creek activities\, please wear closed-toe shoes that stay securely on your feet and that you do not mind getting wet. Shoes should provide adequate protection and traction for walking and wading on the creek bottom. Sandals\, flip-flops\, and other loose-fitting footwear are not recommended. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather. Bring a reusable water bottle\, water refills will be available.
