Wear Your Costume! Celebrate Halloween on the Trail and get your hands dirty cutting back invasive plants like Japanese Knotweed, removing invasive vines like Oriental Bittersweet, caring for newly planted native trees, and picking up litter on and along the trail. We’ll identify a variety of plant species and discuss newsworthy plants or pests that threaten the health of our riverfront ecosystems. We’ll make it easy to maintain appropriate social distance. This event is a great opportunity for first-time volunteers to gain hands-on experience in trail stewardship. Please email rosie@friendsoftheriverfront.org for more information on volunteering with Friends of the Riverfront.
