OpenStreets Northshore

“Flying Friends of the Riverfront” at OpenStreets Northshore:

10:00am – 1:30pm (Ongoing): Friends of the Riverfront Information Station, Litter Bucket Toss, and “Bird’s Eye View: Trail Envisioning Collaborative Art Project”-

Litter bucket toss, tabling materials like maps and development plans, FOTR coloring book coloring station, FOTR sticker giveaway, and two chalk boards where participants can collaborate and draw their visions for the trails.

10:00am -1:30pm: Bird-Eye-Spy Instagram Photo Scavenger Hunt and Bird Photo Contest on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail-

Scavenger Hunt and Photo Contest entry information is available at the Friends of the Riverfront information station. Submissions can be made digitally through Instagram. The highest scoring scavenger hunt winner will receive a prize. The best original photo of a bird on the Three River’s Heritage Trail will receive a copy of their photo as a photo puzzle.

10:30am – 11:30am: “Flying Friends of the Riverfront: Birds and Winged Creatures Group Ride” through the Open Streets event starting at the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. 

Dress like your favorite bird or winged creature and explore OpenStreets on bike with a flock. Birds, butterflies, fairies, angels, etc. are all welcome. Meeting point: Langley Observatory Clock (All ages, all levels, no one will be left behind, faster flyers can go ahead).
