Join us on Saturday August 17th for a family event with designated trail space for families with children learning to ride a skoot bike or scooter! This event will take place at Allegheny Rivertrail Park on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. This event is park of our Community Impact Partnership with 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. The rain date for this event is the next day – Sunday, August 18th from 11am – 2pm. We will make the call regarding rescheduling for rain in the afternoon on Friday August 16th on our socials. *THIS EVENT IS BYOB (BRING YOUR OWN BIKE)*
Friends will designate space on the “Front Yard” bike path of Allegheny Rivertrail park for youth 7 and under and their families and slow down any Trail traffic with the help of volunteers holding “Stop” and “Slow Down” signs so that families with small children learning and practicing riding a scoot bike or scooter will be able to ride safely.
The Allegheny RiverTrail Park trail segment is located in the neighborhood of Aspinwall at 285 River Ave. Pgh, 15215.- and is a wonderful place to bring children with ample grass lawns, beautiful new gardens and trees, excellent views of the Allegheny River, ADA compliant indoor bathrooms open to the public, and a beautiful, woodland playground make this a great spot to spend a Saturday.
