Join us for a fun and relaxing bike ride along the Allegheny River to capture the changing landscape of autumn in Southwestern Pennsylvania! Join Friends of the Riverfront, POGOH, BikePGH, and 3ROC for this end of season celebratory bike ride marking another successful year of meaningful work in the community: bicycle and trail advocacy, infrastructure development, arts and educational programming, and growth in the range of opportunities to enjoy non-motorized recreation and commuting.
Special thanks to our featured trip host: Carolyn Doyle https://www.carolyndoylephotography.com – a local professional photographer who will join us for tips, tricks, and guidance on getting a great shot and boosting your photography skills! In this a collaborative style skill share, all are welcome to join in and share their knowledge and expertise as we bike and stop at different points along the route.
The route is an out and back trip, beginning at the POGOH station near the strip district segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. The group will meet at 12:45pm on October 12th at the nearest POGOH station: Burns White Center at 3 Crossings. Strip District POGOH station. At 1pm, we will head over to the Strip District Trailhead at 24th St and Riverfront Strip District Trailhead to begin our out and back ride, returning to the starting point by 3pm.
Afterwards, you are welcome to join us for an informal gathering at Aslin Brewery in the Strip District for food and drinks. Aslin has something for everyone, coffee, sodas, beers, non-alcoholic beers, and a large menu.
