Starting Monday, September 15, the Ft. Pitt pedestrian bridge will be closed both inbound and outbound as the concrete surface of the ramp is being replaced from Point State Park to the Fort Pitt Pedestrian walkway along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail behind the Fort Pitt Museum and spanning the Monongahela River. This closure is expected to last until October 3. There are detours for both the inbound and outbound routes:
OUTBOUND: along the Monongahela Wharf to the Smithfield Street Bridge, then west along the South Shore segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail
INBOUND: continue east along the South Shore segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to the Smithfield Street Bridge, then west to the Monongahela Wharf.
