Train on the Trail – Aquatic Species & River Health

July 16 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2025’s seventh Train on the Trail session!

Creek Connections along with PA Master Naturalists, will be leading an in-person training session where participants will learn about aquatic species, macroinvertebrates, how these species are connected to river health, and more! Participants will then have the opportunity to do hands-on macroinvertebrate sampling in the stream. Bring your own waders or boots – we have extra boots if needed.

The 2025 Train on the Trail series will offer enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree identification, and more!

An email will be sent the day before the event with details. Email Angela Valotta, Trail Stewardship Program Assistant, with any questions at trailstewardship@friendsoftheriverfront.org.
