Penn State Extension’s Master Watershed Stewards of Allegheny County will present an overview of best practices in managing and protecting water resources and providing habitat for wildlife and pollinators on their own property followed by a short paddle to observe the riverbank from the Allegheny River. Friends of the Riverfront will provide watercrafts for all participants to utilize. Registration will be limited to the first 25 participants.
The 2024 Train on the Trail series will offer enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree pruning and identification, and more!
An email will be sent the week of the event with details. Email Ashley Martin, Trail Stewardship Program Coordinator, with any questions at ashley@friendsoftheriverfront.org.
