As a part of Celebrate Trails Day, our Trail Development Team is hosting a fun-filled bike ride along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail starting at Millvale Riverfront Park! Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Enjoy the scenic trails along the river, breathe in the fresh air, and soak up the sunshine with fellow biking enthusiasts. We are riding at a casual pace to Slyfox Brewery (High Line), route is approximately 10 miles long. We will make a return trip after conversation and libations (you are free to stay as long as you’d like). Don’t miss out on this opportunity to celebrate trails day and learn about ongoing trail projects with the Trail Development team at Friends of the Riverfront!
We will take the Three Rivers Heritage Trail to the North Shore and use the Fort Duquesne pedestrian/cyclist ramp into Point State Park. From there, we will take the Mon-Wharf Connector to the Smithfield Street Bridge sidewalk to Station Square. From there, we will take the trail toward the Sly Fox. A small portion of this section will be on-road, so we will stay in a tight group to ensure everyone feels safe riding this small section of McKean Street to Sly Fox.
Bring a helmet, bike lock, water, snacks and money if you’d like something at Sly Fox.
POGOH STATIONS NEARBY If you need a bike, there are POGOH stations in Lawrenceville and along the North Shore.
REGISTRATION – EMAIL US! Please e-mail us if you’ll be attending at katie@friendsoftheriverfront.org. We will keep an eye on weather and cancel if needed, so having registrant contact info is helpful!
