Trail Care Friday – Arbor Day Tree Planting

*Registration for this opportunity is full* Join us on the River Avenue segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for a special Trail Care Friday opportunity in celebration of Arbor Day 2024. Volunteers will plant 40 trees along the riverfront as part of a continued restoration initiative. Project includes planting site prep, tree pit excavation, planting and protecting, watering, and vegetation management of the surrounding riverbank. Please wear sturdy shoes and long pants, work will be conducted on uneven and sloped terrain. Monitor the forecast and dress for the weather; sunscreen is recommended. Bring a refillable water bottle; water will not be provided. All other project supplies and equipment will be provided. An email will be sent the day prior to the workday with project details.
