Lock Through Paddle Course on the Allegheny

Join Friends of the Riverfront for a Lock Through Class as part of Paddle Fest 2022.  Following a safety talk, we’ll launch our kayaks and canoes from Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Aspinwall and lock through at the Highland Park Dam.  We’ll take out at the Sharpsburg launch and shuttle people and boats back to Allegheny RiverTrail Park.  Registration is required and is $10. Bring your own boat or rent one from the 3ROC Outpost in Allegheny RiverTrail Park.  75 ft. of rope is required to lock through as you’ll need to attach your boat to the lock wall.  If you are not able to bring your own rope, let us know, and we may be able to provide a rope.
