Upstream Pittsburgh will be leading an in-person training session where participants will learn about watershed quality, the history and restoration work in Nine Mile Run, plastic pollution, and more! This event will consist of a one mile hike on the Nine Mile Trail to Duck Hollow and back. Participants will have the opportunity to do a hands-on microplastic collection and litter clean-up.
The 2025 Train on the Trail series will offer enrichment opportunities for volunteers and trail users to gain introductory knowledge and skills that will benefit their trail experience, including native and invasive plants, watercraft safety, tree identification, and more!
