Celebrate the Solstice with Friends - plus be the first to see our 2024 Three Rivers Heritage Trail Map and 2024 Economic Impact Study
Happening 5-8:30 pm on Thursday, June 20, at Grist House Brewery, FriendsFest is our first annual appreciation event for our Friends of the Riverfront members. It will ALSO be the release event for our 2024 Three Rivers Heritage Trail Economic Impact Report AND the brand-new 2024 Three Rivers Heritage Trail Map! The vibe will be laid-back and family-friendly.
FriendsFest will feature beer at Grist House Brewery, games, crafts from Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse, and giveaways – and all the Friends staff will be there to share what we’re doing..
This will also double as a release event for two BIG Friends efforts: the new, 2024 version of our Land Trail Map – be the first to see it! – and our Three Rivers Heritage Trail 2024 Economic Impact Study.
This is a members-only event. You can obtain a membership at the event itself or sign up now as a member.
FriendsFest Event Lineup
- 5 pm – Event begins! Picnic delicacies, Grist House beer, and Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse crafts all begin. Relax inside or outside on the patio.
- 5:30 pm – Welcome by Executive Director Kelsey Ripper.
- 6 pm – Trail Development New Project Update. TD staff discuss our latest trail expansion projects
- 6:30 pm – Trail Stewardship Demo. TS staff cover all the latest maintenance efforts, including our new stewardship kayaks and tree planting
- 7 pm – Plants of Millvale Riverfront Park Indoor Workshop. The plants are coming to us! Join Trail Experience to learn about the plants of Millvale Riverfront Park, their use, folklore, and the basics on how to identify them.
- 8 pm – Last raffle drawing. Event ends at 8:30 pm
