Annon Ball (they/them/theirs) is a Pittsburgh native with a knack for ecological restoration and forestry, urban community greening, and physical labor. After graduating from Chatham University in 2023 with a B.S. In Sustainability and Natural Resource Management and a minor in Food Studies, Annon has strived to gain field knowledge from a variety of unique seasonal opportunities. Their work has ranged widely in scope. First was an SCA position assisting with prescribed fires and trail work with the U.S. Forest service in Kisatchie National Forest, Louisiana for early spring 2024. This job was followed by an immediate return home to join Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Horticulture and Forestry Team that summer. Most recently in 2025, Annon completed a fruitful season with the Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps in association with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Annon also works part time at the Senator John Heinz History Center downtown, and loves observing and pointing out the history of the land we live, work, and recreate on. Annon is ecstatic to be working on our vital riverfront trails; the river avenue segment between the Northside and Millvale has been a favorite jogging route of theirs for years. Hope to see you out there!
