Ashley was born and raised in Carnegie, PA and currently resides on the North Side. She graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sustainability. After college, she started her career with the Student Conservation Association where she did seasonal work as a Pittsburgh City Park Ranger and Trail Crew Leader in Riverview Park. There, she learned all about the trail systems and what the outdoors of Pittsburgh has to offer. Her career continued through work with Venture Outdoors as both an Outdoor Educator and Custom Program Coordinator. Ashley is an integral part of Friends of the Riverfront as our Trail Stewardship Program Manager – working closely with our local communities to help maintain our trails to keep them safe and accessible for all. She also serves on the Board of Directors to the Pittsburgh Safe Boating Council (PSBC). In her free time, you can find Ashley exploring Riverview Park with her dog, backpacking the Laurel Highlands Trail with her partner, or lifting weights at the gym.
