Katie is a Project Manager of Trail Development at Friends of the Riverfront. She has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Penn State University and is a licensed Landscape Architect in Pennsylvania and New York. She has worked on a variety of riverfront park and trail projects throughout Pennsylvania and believes that improving a community’s quality of life and creating vibrant places starts with providing people with equitable access to their trails and riverfronts. Katie has been fortunate enough to work on multiple projects that have shaped and advanced connections of trails and riverfronts in the Pittsburgh region, and she looks forward to furthering these connections with Friends of the Riverfront. Katie also serves as the Communications Chair for the Society of Women Environmental Professionals and treasurer for the Pennsylvania-Delaware American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA). In her free time, Katie enjoys exploring the sights and sounds of Pittsburgh, biking trails with her husband, hiking with her dog and flyfishing for trout.
