This past April construction began on the first part of the new Brackenridge trail segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail. This project began in 2016 when Friends of the Riverfront partnered with Brackenridge Borough to develop a trail along the Allegheny Riverfront. Over the past seven year, we have worked diligently to raise funding, complete design, and engineering to make this trail a reality.

This trail once fully completed will add a half a mile to the Three Rivers Heritage Trail Network. It will run through the Brackenridge Memorial Park and run until the Allegheny Ludlum Plant. Friends continues to work with their neighbors in Tarentum and Harrison Township to continue to expand and develop the trail.
