The Three Rivers Heritage Trail is an expansive 33‑mile urban riverfront trail system along both sides of all three rivers in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The trail connects visitors to opportunities for recreation and commuting for both residents and visitors to the region, and allows access to dense urban areas, popular shopping and entertainment districts, and green space.

The segment of Three Rivers Heritage Trail in Chateau between Branchport Street and N Franklin Street will be temporarily closed due to repairs needed. It will be closed to all pedestrian and bike traffic. The suggested detour uses Metropolitan St.

UpKeep Trail Care Friday - Strip District

Join us on the Strip District section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for an UpKeep Trail Care opportunity! Volunteers will clear undesired and encroaching vegetation, tend to trees, collect litter and clear debris, and other general trail maintenance needs.

Water Trail Care Thursday - Heinz Quay

August 14^th @ 9:00am - 12:00pm

Join us at the Heinz Quay Launch on the Ohio River section of the Three Rivers Water Trail for a river-based Water Trail Care Thursday opportunity! Volunteers will launch from Heinz Quay and paddle down river towards the West End Bridge. Volunteers will collect trash along the way, docking on the riverbanks where we can to get out and collect trash.
