The Three Rivers Heritage Trail is an expansive 33‑mile urban riverfront trail system along both sides of all three rivers in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The trail connects visitors to opportunities for recreation and commuting for both residents and visitors to the region, and allows access to dense urban areas, popular shopping and entertainment districts, and green space.

April 16, 2025

Starting May 8th, the portion of Nine Mile Run Trail between Duck Hollow and Commercial St. will be closed unremittingly until the end of September for the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh’s (URA) Swisshelm Park Solar Project.

Three Rivers Heritage Trail
February 10, 2025

The entrance lane to the Millvale Riverfront Park section of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail is temporarily closed until further notice. The Millvale Police Department is asking users to access the riverfront from the other side, normally the exit lane.

Trail Care Friday - Baldwin (Arbor Day) (CANCELLED)

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER | Join us in celebrating Arbor Day on the Baldwin segment of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for a Trail Care Friday opportunity! Volunteers will assist in planting young restoration trees, addressing undesired vegetation, collecting litter, as well as other trail maintenance needs.
