Allegheny River Clean Up Series – Tarentum

What will we be doing?  Friends of the Riverfront and Allegheny CleanWays will be spending the day in Tarentum for the Allegheny River Cleanup Series. Volunteers will have the option to remove trash that has accumulated along the riverfront from the land and water via Allegheny CleanWays boat, the Rachel Carson, or, participate in a Neighborhood Litter walk with Friends of the Riverfront. Neighborhood Litter Walks are low-intensity events, excellent for casual adventure with families. At each walk, volunteers follow a local guide for a local guide for collecting lightweight litter in public streets and pathways, followed by social at nearby restaurant or gathering place.
