The piers surrounding the Three Sisters Bridges (9th, 7th, and 6th) will be closed one at a time to conduct a deep cleaning, restoring the piers to their original stone colors from 1924. Starting Monday, September 25, the Three Rivers Heritage Trail under the 7th St. Bridge will be detoured up the ramp to the 7th St. Bridge, across the crosswalk at Fort Duquesne Blvd, then back down the other ramp during workday hours Monday - Thursday (6am - 5pm). This detour will be for about 3 weeks. After workday hours and during weekends, the Trail will be open, though only 6' wide due to the scaffolding set up.
