Crews & Brews: Hootches & Pooches Edition

Who doesn’t love wagging tails, clean trails, & cocktails? We’re celebrating National Dog Day a few days late (it is annually celebrated on August 26th) – Friends of the Riverfront and 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. are partnering up on a pooch-friendly Crews & Brews in the South Side on August 29th! Never joined Friends for a “Crews & Brews” event before? Crews & Brews are first-time-Volunteer-friendly events that occur every other Thursday night – it begins with litter cleanup on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail, followed by drinks at a local restaurant/bar/brewery/tea/coffee shop. On Thursday, August 29th, we’ll meet up at South Side Dog Park @ 5pm and do some litter pick up and trail stewardship while our furry friends enjoy a walk on the trail with us. Wrapping up on the trail around 6:15pm, we’ll head over to Doublewide Grill (2339 East Carson Street, Pittsburgh PA, 15203) for the tail end of Happy Hour, where pups are welcome at the outdoor seating patio! YES – Dogs are welcome to join us for the full duration of this event!
