Earth Day on the South Side

Celebrate Earth Day 2023 on the South Side, with Friends of the Riverfront, REI, South Side Community Council, and more! Join us along the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trails in South Side Riverfront Park for trail-based activities, outdoor vendors, volunteer opportunities, food, music, and fun!
Attendees can win a $100 REI giftcard and other prizes!
- Free REI Bike Tech Repairs
- Kids Litter Kit Decorating Contest (all participants receive a free Litter Kit!)
- Engage with bikes, kayaks, and more with the Full Psych Adventure Team
- Learn about the Herptile Emergency Response Program of Allegheny County
- Discover the Carnegie Science Center’s STEM offerings
- Market vendors
- Coloring book contest
- Free POGOH bike rental test rides with Bike People
- Learn about upcoming Three Rivers Heritage & Water trail expansions
- Food from Urban Trail Coffee Co. and Wise County Biscuits
- 10:00am Group lead trail run with Yinz Run Club (1 mile and 3 mile distances)

- 11:00am Volunteer riverbank tree planting

- 11:30am Celebrate Trails Day!
- 15-mile Bike Ride with Women at Work Cycling Club (All Are Welcome!) The ride will start at The Highline and will make a stop at the Earth Day event in South Side Riverfront Park to pick up more riders before heading out for this 15-mile ride.
