The East Hills Consensus Group and Friends of the Riverfront are teaming up on Saturday, November 4th at 2pm for a Neighborhood Litter Walk through the East Hills. Focusing on the area around Dornbush Street, we will convene at the intersection of Bricelyn and Dornbush Streets at the site of the future rain garden project supported by Upstream Pittsburgh. We will embark on a roughly 90-minute walk, cleaning up trash and debris as we move throughout the neighborhood. We will finish with a social hour at The Cabaret Banquet Hall & Event Center, located at 7928 Frankstown Avenue, with refreshments.
The two-fold goal of this walk is to both clean up litter and debris on the streets and public spaces of East Hills and to further build and empower connections in the community. We are planning future walks for the spring and summer of next year.
This event is an amazing occasion to enjoy some time with people in the community, and a great opportunity for some exercise and fresh air alike!
