Fireside Folktales: An Evening of Stewardship and Storytelling

Friends and families of all ages are invited to celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day with Friends of the Riverfront and the Council of Three Rivers American Indian Center on Saturday, October 8th In Lawrenceville. Join a canoe paddle at sunset or steward the trail and riverbank by collecting litter. Enjoy a potluck dinner and be transfixed by the fireside stories of Taino elder Miguel Sague.   • We will have a limited number of public boats (canoes, kayaks) so if you have your own non-motorized watercraft please bring it along.
  • Respecting our various dietary choices, any food brought to the potluck must be accurately labeled with all ingredients.
  • Rain date is Sunday, October 9.
The event will be held at the 40th Street Three Rivers Heritage Trail trailhead in Lawrenceville and along the river on the Three Rivers Water Trail launch.
