Public Trail Care Saturday with Allegheny CleanWays

Join us for a Saturday riverfront cleanup on the Allegheny River with Allegheny CleanWays (ACW)! Participants will have an opportunity to collect trash from riverbanks via ACW’s boat, clear invasive plants, and assist in preparation of a local mural! We will meet at James Sharp Landing where we will go over the work plan for the day and then we are off.
Please wear clothes that you are comfortable with potentially getting muddy/wet. Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required. We also recommend bringing a long-sleeve shirt to avoid being scratched or coming in contact with poison ivy and sun. All volunteers will be provided with work gloves, life jackets, safety glasses, and tools. Please be sure to bring your reusable water bottle; water will not be provided.
