Trail Tuesday – Celebrating 50 Years of the Clean Water Act
Join Friends of the Riverfront and our partners as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Clean Water Act this October! Volunteers will work to clear invasive overgrowth and litter along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and Three Rivers Water Trail launch in Duck Hollow in partners Upstream Pittsburgh and Allegheny CleanWays. Join us out on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for a Tuesday morning workday! Volunteers will work on invasive plant management, including cutting invasive vines from trees, as well as litter pick-up along the trail and riverfront. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and layered sleeves to be removed. Bring enough water with you for the entire workday. Please RSVP by emailing alex@friendsoftheriverfront.org. Join us for the first Trail Tuesday of 2023! We will meet at River Ave near Heinz Street Parking. We will be picking up litter and doing some light vegetation management.
