Katie works in Trail Development to increase access to riverfront trail for people all over Allegheny County. As Trail Development Coordinator, Katie works directly with communities and local governments to manage trail projects, including assisting with fundraising to complete these visions. Katie got her bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development and has a passion for community development. As a graduate of the AmeriCorps Public Allies Program, she focused on questions surrounding inclusion and equity. She continues to explore these ideas and currently holds a seat on the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources’ Next Generation Council where she focuses on equity work throughout the state.
