Train on the Trail – Native and Invasive Species
Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2023's first Train on the Trail installment! Penn State Extension educator Sandy Feather will provide an on-trail overview of native and invasive plant species trail users can expect to find along the Three Rivers Heritage & Water Trails and throughout Allegheny County - maybe even your backyard! Trail Tuesday – Cheswick Water Launch (5/2)
Join us on the Three Rivers Water Trail to beautify the Cheswick Water Trail Launch in Rachel Carson Riverfront Park. Volunteers will help the Borough prepare the site for launch improvements by clearing overgrowth and invasive plants along the riverbank; trimming a grass seating area; removing an old fence; and collecting trash, litter, and debris from the site.
