Trail Tuesday – Evening Edition
Join us out on the Three Rivers Heritage Trail for special summer work evening! Volunteers will work on invasive plant management, including cutting invasive vines from trees, as well as litter pick-up along the trail and riverfront. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress warmly. Join 3ROC, Friends of the Riverfront and Outkast Paddlers on the Three Rivers Water Trail during Pittsburgh’s Inaugural Paddlesports Weekend. Throughout the weekend we'll have group paddles, safety information sessions, a lock through course, exhibitors, and a paddling film festival! Join Friends of the Riverfront for a Lock Through Class as part of Paddle Fest 2022. Following a safety talk, we'll launch our kayaks and canoes from Allegheny RiverTrail Park in Aspinwall and lock through at the Highland Park Dam. We'll take out at the Sharpsburg launch and shuttle people and boats back to Allegheny RiverTrail Park. Registration is required and is $10. Join Friends of the Riverfront for one of three Public Trail Care Saturday's this summer along the Three Rivers Heritage and Water Trails for a project-based morning of volunteerism. July's Trail Care Saturday will be held at the Braddock Water Trail Launch, focusing on collecting litter, weeding and overgrowth management, tree tending and mulching, and cleaning a picnic area.
