Join us for a Saturday riverfront cleanup on the Allegheny River with Allegheny CleanWays (ACW)! Participants will have an opportunity to clear invasive knotweed and clean up litter via ACW's boat.

Fireside Folktales: An evening of Storytelling and Stewardship

Join Friends of the Riverfront for a celebration of Indigenous People's Day with a campfire on the water’s edge and a potluck dinner, with featured storyteller Miguel Sague from the Council of Three Rivers. We'll gather at the Sharpsburg public boat ramp, so feel free to bring along your kayak or canoe for a sunset paddle. Potluck dishes should include serving utensils and must be labeled with all ingredients.

Train on the Trail – Your Watershed Friendly Property

Join Friends of the Riverfront for 2024's fourth Train on the Trail installment! Penn State Extension's Master Watershed Stewards of Allegheny County will provide an overview of best practices in managing and protecting water resources and providing habitat for wildlife and pollinators on their own property followed by a short paddle to observe the riverbank from the Allegheny River.
